About Paul Rossman:

Paul Rossman is a drummer and percussionist who plays in many genres including Jazz, Latin Jazz, Smooth Jazz, Folk Rock, and Pop.  Paul's  latest recorded rhythmic work can be heard on "Off the Charts", leader Richard Baratta's 2023 chart topping offering featuring performances by standout saxophonist Jerry Bergonzi, virtuoso pianist Dave Kikoski, and bass legend John Patitucci. As percussionist in Richard Baratta’s Gotham City Latin Jazz Septet, his work can be heard on the Savant Records 2022 recording, "Music in Film, The Sequel".  This chart climbing compilation followed “Music in Film:  The Reel Deal” which reached #14 in the world (2021).  His original inventive solo is featured on the "The Reel Deal" Grammy nominated single, "Chopsticks".  Paul has recorded and/or played with illustrious jazz artists including guitarist Paul Bollenback, saxophonists

Paul studied with drummers Joe Morello (Brubeck), Hank Jarmillo, and Jim Payne as well as with  percussionist masters Frank Colon, Bobby Sanabria, and Norman Headman. He has played alongside drum legend Bernard Purdie.  A veteran of the New York music scene, he has collaborated with Van Morrison guitarist/producer John Platania on several albums.  Paul has played drums with Don McLean, percussion in Mosaic—a 12 piece big band led by Bob Shaut-- and has been the featured drummer on albums by Hudson Valley based artists including pianist Tim Bodt, vibraphonist Vic Catanzaro, smooth jazz guitarist singer/songwriter Erin Hobson, and the smooth jazz band The Dangling Success. Presently, he also drums in bands covering Southern Funk and New Orleans Jazz!
